We have a School Learning Forum that meets regularly to discuss, plan and contribute to all sorts of things that help the children to learn well at St Mary's. Every class is represented by elected members on the School Learning Forum and the representatives take ideas back to their classes for further discussion and contributions. Mrs M Playford is the teacher who works with the School Learning Forum.
Recently the School Learning Forum has led some research into what helps the children to learn and what may get in the way of good learning. Children's ideas and perceptions were fed back to staff and to the whole school in assembly. Some changes and developments were made as a result of this.
At the moment the School Learning Forum is helping to create a school definition of what makes good learning. They hope that this will help all adults and children to be able to better understand their learning goals and how to achieve them.
