Voluntary Helpers Including Swimming

We greatly value our volunteer helpers, without whom we could not cover all the aspects of learning that we wish to provide for the children.

We are committed to providing a safe environment and expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. It is illegal for anyone who is barred from working with children to apply for, or work/volunteer, in a school, therefore the school will carry out safeguarding checks on volunteers. They will be asked to supply the school with references and to undergo a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

 The role of a voluntary helper is to assist all children in the class with a wide range of activities. We particularly value our volunteers' assistance with swimming lessons.

 All support is, of course, very valuable and we appreciate the time and commitment that family members and others give to the school.
